Exit Buttons

Exit Buttons — Door Release in Tbilisi

Exit Buttons are essential components of access control system that allow authorized persons to open door from inside to outside for exit without using card or biometrics in Tbilisi and throughout Georgia. These buttons are installed on interior side of door and provide quick and comfortable exit while maintaining security for entry from outside (outside still requires card/biometrics), which is necessary for evacuation exits, offices, shops, and any type of controlled doors. LAGI offers full range of exit buttons: contactless touchless buttons (infrared/capacitive, No Touch), mechanical plastic buttons (standard, cheap), vandal-resistant metal buttons (stainless steel, anti-vandal), illuminated LED buttons (for night), IP65/IP68 weatherproof models (for outdoor use), NO/NC contacts (Normally Open/Normally Closed), wall/door frame mounting, sizes 86×86mm standard or round Ø22mm, integration with any access controller. All buttons ensure reliable operation for 1,000,000+ presses and comply with international security standards.

FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between NO and NC contacts?

NO (Normally Open) — in normal state contact is open (no current flows). When you press button, contact closes and current flows → controller receives signal and door opens. This is most common type. NC (Normally Closed) — in normal state contact is closed (current flows). When you press button, contact opens and current stops → controller receives signal. Used in special cases. Most controllers require NO contact.

What type of exit button suits my facility?

Depends on facility type and environment. Offices/indoor doors — mechanical plastic button (cheap, sufficient). Public places/outdoor doors — vandal-resistant metal button (durable). Hospitals/hotels — contactless touchless button (hygienic, No Touch). Dark corridors/emergency exits — illuminated LED button (visible at night). Outdoor conditions — IP65/IP68 weatherproof button (rain, snow).

Can exit button be used on emergency exit?

Yes, but must comply with emergency exit requirements. On emergency exit, exit button must be: 1) visible and easily accessible (maximum 1.5m height), 2) illuminated LED with "PUSH TO EXIT" or "EMERGENCY EXIT" text, 3) connected to fail-safe lock (opens when power cuts), 4) additionally recommended Break Glass Emergency Release as backup solution. This is mandatory for fire safety standards compliance.
