RFID Tags & Credentials

RFID Tags — Cards and Key Fobs in Tbilisi

RFID Tags & Credentials are contactless identification devices used in access control systems, time attendance, swimming pools, fitness clubs, hotels, and intercoms in Tbilisi and throughout Georgia. These devices contain unique ID number that is read by RFID reader contactlessly (from 5-10cm distance) and allow fast, comfortable, and secure identification without using hands, which is necessary for high-traffic locations and daily use. LAGI offers full range of RFID tags: 125kHz EM-Marin cards (EM4100/EM4102, ISO CR80 size 85.6×54mm, 0.8mm thickness), 13.56MHz Mifare cards (Mifare Classic 1K/4K, Mifare DESFire EV1/EV2, NFC compatible), key fobs (ABS plastic, various colors, with ring), wristbands (silicone, waterproof IP68, for pools), stickers (self-adhesive, logo printing), card holders and lanyards, printable cards (thermal/UV printing, photo, logo, text), magnetic stripe cards (HiCo/LoCo), combined cards (RFID + magnetic stripe). All tags are made from high-quality materials and ensure 100,000+ read cycles.

Main Types of RFID Tags

  • 125kHz EM-Marin cards — EM4100/EM4102 chip, ISO CR80 size 85.6×54mm, 0.8mm thickness, 5-10cm reading distance, cheap (0.5-1 lari), ideal for budget systems.
  • 13.56MHz Mifare cards — Mifare Classic 1K/4K (1KB/4KB memory), Mifare DESFire EV1/EV2 (encrypted), 3-5cm reading distance, NFC smartphone compatibility, high security.
  • Key fobs — ABS plastic, 125kHz/13.56MHz, various colors (black, blue, red, green), with ring, compact size 40×30mm, ideal for attaching to keys.
  • Wristbands — silicone material, waterproof IP68, 125kHz/13.56MHz, adjustable size, ideal for pools, fitness clubs, spa centers.
  • Stickers — self-adhesive, 125kHz/13.56MHz, Ø25mm/Ø30mm, logo printing, ideal for cars, laptops, phones (won't lose).
  • Printable cards — white surface, thermal/UV printing, photo, logo, text, barcode, QR code, ideal for employee ID cards.

FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between 125kHz and 13.56MHz RFID cards?

125kHz (EM-Marin) — older technology, cheap (0.5-1 lari), simple reading, not encrypted (can be cloned), 5-10cm distance, ideal for budget systems, intercoms. 13.56MHz (Mifare) — modern technology, more expensive (1-3 lari), encrypted data (impossible to clone Mifare DESFire), 3-5cm distance, NFC smartphone compatibility, high security, recommended for new installations, offices.

How long does RFID card work?

RFID cards are passive devices — they have no battery and receive energy from reader's electromagnetic field. Therefore they work infinitely (theoretically). In practice, card lifespan depends on physical wear: PVC cards — 3-5 years (100,000+ reads), ABS key fobs — 5-10 years (more durability), silicone wristbands — 2-3 years (wear from water). Main reason for replacement: physical card damage (bend, crack), chip damage (strong magnetic field), loss.

Can RFID card be cloned?

Depends on card type. 125kHz EM-Marin cards — can be cloned with special device (RFID Copier), since not encrypted. This is security risk. 13.56MHz Mifare Classic 1K — can be cloned (known vulnerabilities exist), but more difficult. 13.56MHz Mifare DESFire EV1/EV2 — impossible to clone (AES-128 encryption, secure authentication), this is most secure option. Recommendation: for high-security facilities use Mifare DESFire or biometrics.
